Privacy Policy
The Credit Union is committed to making available financial products and services that will enable members to meet financial needs and reach financial goals. The protection of our members' privacy and the safekeeping of confidential information are of utmost concern to the Credit Union. It is the Credit Union's intent to comply with all applicable laws and regulations concerning the treatment of both member and non-member information, and to educate our members as to their privacy rights under law. This policy outlines the purposes for which member information will be collected and released outside of the Credit Union.

Information Collected
The Credit Union will only collect that information necessary to establish an on-going relationship with members and joint account holders. Information on an individual member may be collected from a variety of sources, including the member's signature card, loan application, and consumer reporting agencies. Furthermore, the Credit Union will take reasonable precautions to protect the accuracy and reliability of member information.

Information Shared with Third Parties
The Credit Union will not sell nonpublic personal information on its members to any third party. The Credit Union may disclose nonpublic personal information about an individual member or members as permitted by law. These disclosures typically include information to process transactions, conduct the operations of the Credit Union, protect the security of the Credit Union’s financial records, or with member’s consent.

Third Party Privacy Standards
The Credit Union may disclose all of the information collected, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have a joint marketing agreement. The Credit Union will only disclose nonpublic personal information about its members to third parties who demonstrate a consistent commitment to the protection of the confidentiality of member information, and who have adopted privacy policies comparable to those adopted by the Credit Union. Under no circumstances will we authorize these firms to charge a member’s account without the express consent of the member.

Security and Confidentiality
The Credit Union restricts access to nonpublic personal information about members to those employees who have a specific business purpose for using it. Employees are trained on the importance of maintaining confidentiality and member privacy. The Credit Union maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations and leading industry practices to safeguard nonpublic personal information.

Availability of Policy
The Credit Union is proud of its commitment to member confidentiality, and will make this policy available to any consumer requesting it. The Credit Union will also post the policy on its Internet website, www.mhpfcu.org
